  9.    The program  LocaleTest is mainly  for programmers  who
  10.    try to create language drivers and country locale files
  11.    (*.country and *.language). With this software you will
  12.    be able  to check  your own  work,  because  LocaleTest
  13.    checks for both these files and  outputs in a clear and
  14.    easy form.
  15.    None the less any Amiga user may use  it if he needs to
  16.    check  whether it  works correctly for his localization
  17.    system.
  18.    The  following  list  contains  the  main  localization
  19.    entries which are checked by LocaleTest:

  21. * General:
  22. - name of localization preferences file;
  23. - language name;
  24. - country name;
  25. - international country code;
  26. - country dialling code;
  27. - measuring system;
  28. - number of code table;
  29. - some localization flags;
  30. - predefined languages names;
  31. * Numbering:
  32. - decimal point;
  33. - algorithm for grouping before and after decimal point;
  34. * Monetary:
  35. - large and small currency symbols;
  36. - international currency symbol (ISO-4217);
  37. - decimal point for currency values;
  38. - algorithm for grouping before and after decimal point
  39.   for currency values;
  40. - spaces in currency values;
  41. - positive and negative signs for currency values;
  42. - currency string layout for currency symbol, value, sing
  43.   and spaces for ones;
  44. * Database of words:
  45. - affirmative and negative responses;
  46. - hupernation signs and quotation marks;
  47. * Date and time:
  48. - time zone;
  49. - first day of week;
  50. - names of time periods;
  51. - names and abbreviations of days and months;
  52. - full and short formats for outputting date and time;
  53. * Alphabet:
  54. - sorting and conversion letters by all locale rules;
  55. - 11 flags of letters.
